Business networking group, Business 1st has continued its fundraising efforts by handing over a cheque to St Giles Hospice.
As one of the longest established independent business networking groups in Lichfield, Business 1st raises money for local charities each year at its annual networking awards evening. So far this year, the networking group has donated over £500 to worthwhile charities, including £250 to St Giles and £250 to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
To collect the £250 cheque on behalf of St Giles, Community Fundraiser Aaron Coleman attended a recent Business 1st meeting, and took time to brief the group about the vital services offered by the charity, and how local businesses can help in important fundraising efforts.
Aaron says: “We very grateful to Business 1st for including St Giles Hospice in its charity collections. St Giles needs donations and fundraising to enable the charity to continue to provide the free medical and nursing care that patients and their families need.”
Current Chair of Business 1st, Peter Robinson says: “We’re delighted to be able to help raise money for good causes, and will be keeping in touch with Aaron with regard to other ways we might be able to help.”
